Introduction - more than a Homemaker
Hi readers,

Having been retrenched, I'm taking an "indefinite break" in 6 weeks time (excited and counting down), from being an office lady to be a "full-time" mum to a 10 months old baby.

I'm still learning to embraced the H-word with a sense of irony. I hope I can find a better word that makes it more fashionable, what about the word, "housekeeper"? Or "domestic engineer"? Or "Stay-at-home mum", "work-at-home mum" or a "full-time mummy"?

Who say being a homemaker will be dull and boring? Who say being a homemaker makes a person an old hag? Like the Ah Sohs (Hokkien for dowdy aunties) in floral pyjamas sitting at the void deck?

Life still can be exciting and hip and becoming a stylish mum with a semi-tai tai life. Hence I decided to create this blog to log down my new experiences.

A stay-at-home mum is someone who chose raising kids over getting a job.
Frankly speaking I can’t really find any job description for a Homemaker, therefore I searched Wikipedia to research exactly what’s my new job about:

Job Description:
A homemaker handles household responsibilities as his or her main daily activity. The domestic consumption work of homemakers provide goods and services directly within a household, such as cooking meals, childcare, household repairs, or the manufacture of clothes and gifts. Common tasks include cleaning, cooking, and looking after children.

Then again, the H-word is just a word. And words, while powerful in their own way, are still dependent on the meanings, emotions and attitudes you invest in them. For now, I'll stick to telling people I am a inspiring homemaker, because, deep down inside, I know I am so much more than that. And that's enough.

Okay, hopefully it be interesting... Stay tune for updates and photos!

You don't know how much I envy you!!! Will be the best time of your life and something you will definitely cherish in time to come. Jobs always can come by but your child can only grow up once. ;)
